USC – Contenders or Pretenders

USC is currently in the conversation to be one of the top four teams in the nation, which may thus translate into a spot within a much-coveted playoff spot. Gifted with some world class talent, that which is ready to pick apart defenses and stop the opposing team’s offense, USC is looking poised to be one of the best teams in the nation once again.

Gene RinderknechtThe USC playoff hopes rest on the arm of Cody Kessler. It was only last season that Kessler posted one of the most efficient seasons of the quarterback position in the nation. The talent is stocked on the offensive side of the ball for the young signal caller. With a potent offense under his control and a year under his belt, there seems to be no reason why fans of USC have any reason to doubt their legitimacy during this season.

Picking USC to be a contender could be premature since the season has yet to start. The program needs to have its act together. They can at times be erratic when they lose games they should win, and when they win games they should lose. However, the picture for USC’s season will become clear when they play Stanford, Notre Dame, Oregon, and UCLA.

When it comes to college football, it seems as there is always interesting stories around every corner of every football program in the NCAA. Fans of the sport, like Gene Rinderknecht, are thrilled to get another season underway. With last year being the inaugural season of the College Football Playoffs, this year will be a great year to continue the new, exciting tradition.

A New Jim Harbaugh Era

After finding some success as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, Jim Harbaugh finds himself back as a head coach in the realm of college football. Though he led the 49ers to three consecutive NFC Championship games, and one Super Bowl appearance, Harbaugh was not resigned with the 49ers. Though it seemed like a setback to lose a head coaching position, this coveted coached was quickly snatched up by Michigan to be the head coach of their program.

Gene RinderknechtOne of the best minds in the game of football today, Harbaugh looks to turn the Michigan program around and into something worth writing home about once again. The unique character that he is will most likely thrive in the college atmosphere. The coach, who is nothing short of phenomenal, has a lot of weight on his shoulders to get the program up and running again, but he is up for the challenge.

When it comes to the new era that Michigan is entering into, which is Jim Harbaugh Era, the coach and university duo seem to have all of the storylines pointing towards their success. Though only time will tell, at the moment there seems to be no reason why Michigan won’t be contending for the title, much like the days of old.

Gene Rinderknecht follows college football. Since this is one of his favorite sports, he does his best to stay on top of the many storylines that go on throughout the season. The re-introduction of head coach Jim Harbaugh into college football is definitely one of the stories to watch unfold as the season goes on.

Title Contenders in the Upcoming College Football Season

With the college football season looming ahead, many are counting down the days until they see their favorite team play once again. After last year’s great storylines ended with Ohio State taking the first College Football Playoff championship, fans are now excited to see who makes their way into the four-team playoffs. Here are the before the season picks to be contenders.

Gene RinderknechtOhio State

Complacency can hurt a team. Ohio State is a program that has enjoyed plenty of success in recent years. If they become caught up in past success and become content with it, they can easily lose their stride. However, Ohio State is always looking to make themselves better for the next season.

Alabama

‘Bama has some of the best in the entire NCAA. With Nick Saban leading the way as head coach of the team, this university program is sitting pretty as a title contender.

TCU

TCU may have been a snub of last year’s College Football Playoffs, though they look to pick up where they left off as one of the nation’s best. Coach Gary Patterson knows that his defense may suffer from the departures. However, there is no reason for another player not to step up and make himself known as a premier defender.

Florida State

With the addition of a new quarterback, one that will bring a versatile skill set to the FSU offense, this football program sees themselves to be in contention to win it all. With coach Jimbo Fisher leading the way, they may just bring home the trophy as the underdog.

As a fan of college football, Gene Rinderknecht is looking forward to the upcoming college football season. Last season was the introduction of College Football Playoffs, and the NCAA will be continuing the new tradition as teams battle for the title.

Stories to Look Forward to in College Football

With the first season of college football that has featured a playoff now in the books, fans have been patiently waiting for the next season to come along. Now within a few days of a new season starting off, there are a couple stories that many are waiting to see play out.

Ohio State: The Quest for another Championship

Many believe that Ohio State has what it takes to win it all in back to back years. Despite being predicted to win, no one knows who the starting quarterback of the team will be. Ohio State has a really good problem in having three good players at the QB position: Cardale Jones, J. T. Barrett, and Braxton Miller. All are quality players who can start for the team, but in the end, two of those players will be riding the bench.

Which Conference Gets Left Out?

Last year, the Big 12 was omitted from the College Football Playoff. The feeling of missing out on the final four of college basketball is now the same feeling that many colleges, and their fans, will feel about football. Baylor and TCU, both of the Big 12 conference, were two of the best teams in the country, and were left out of the playoffs, which only allows four teams to play.

Perhaps, you can guarantee that the teams in this conference do not want to be left out again.
Gene Rinderknecht looks forward to the upcoming season of college football. As a fan of the sport, there are few things that Rinderknecht loves to cheer on more than the collegiate students who play American Football.

Three Signs That Your Pet Needs a Checkup

Symptoms for animals can sometimes be closely related to humans, while others can be very alien and unidentifiable by pet owners. Many owners attempt to fill the role of veterinarian to save money, and make attempts to diagnose and treat their animals from home, hoping that their home remedies will be enough to maximize the health and longevity of their pet. While this is a humble and affectionate motion, this is ineffective and overall a risk to your household pet. Looking for the top three signs that your pet needs a veterinarian will help alleviate the danger of misdiagnosing, and help make your veterinarian visits more cost effective.

Gene Rinderknecht

The first sure sign that your pet may need some professional assistance will come from its change in eating habits. Animals find routine from the foods that they eat, and as an owner, an immediate sign will be the lack of eating by your pet. A second, less obvious sign that something is wrong with your pet will come from the energy that is given. Pets that are sick or injured will spend less time being active or interactive with the owner, giving the hint that something needs to be checked.

Gene Rinderknecht, a veterinarian with over 43 years of experience, brings up one of the most important things to look for when seeing signs of a possible problem with your pet. He states, “pets that disappear and go into hiding throughout much of the day is a definite sign that something is wrong.” He suggests that you keep an eye on how frequently your pet shows itself, and if it is much less than usual, something could very possibly be wrong.

The Life of a Veterinarian

One of the hardest doctoral professions comes with little prestige, and much responsibility. With a modern society that sees the pets within a household as members of a family, veterinarians are given much more pressure to perform on the thousands of different species that come into their clinics every day. While human doctors have the privilege to study a single anatomy, animal doctors are burdened with numerous different types and formations of an animal’s anatomy, making the life of a veterinarian heavily reliant on passion towards animals.

The field of veterinarian science has grown recently in the past decade, as scientific advancement has given doctors the ability to see new perceptions about the animals that are being treated. With so many animals begging the needs of so many veterinarian functions, there are several different specialists within the field that give veterinarians the choice of diversifying their expertise. Small animal practice varies wildly from emergency animal clinics, and neuter clinics don’t require the same needs as private practicing clinics. With animals a very big part of the lives of Americans, veterinarians have been the one doctor that has stepped up to the plate to fill the needs of clients.

Veterinarians are transitioning into some of the most versatile medical professionals in the medical sciences industry. Gene Rinderknecht, a veterinarian with over 43 years of experience, has jumped between many different veterinarian specialties, attempting to help aid the need of the professional community. As the domestic animal population continues to grow, the importance of veterinarians will continue increase.

Dealing With Occupational Stress

Especially in the fast paced modern world of today, finding a moment to yourself can be something that is nearly impossible. There is just so much to do in a day and not enough daylight to do it. This is a sentiment that is shared by many people, especially those who have families and careers of their own. Often it seems that work takes precedent over everything and can sometimes feel like you are being buried under an avalanche of things to do. If this feels like you then it is time for you to take a step back and a big breath of air. The first thing you have to understand is that living that lifestyle is very detrimental to your health. Stress has been labeled as one of the most efficient killers of our generation. With that in mind, finding a way to unwind and be at peace with yourself has been more important than ever.

No matter what job you have, no matter how demanding, there is always extra time for you to have to yourself. Though it may be difficult for you to see that while you are caught up in the rat race, by simply removing yourself from the flow you will find that there is indeed an opportunity for relaxation. Even if it is just a few minutes while you wait for a flight, try closing your eyes and counting your breathing, letting your mind wander to any world you see fit. You would be surprised how much something as simple as a five minute meditation can help.

Gene Rinderknecht is a veterinarian who loves to unwind by tending to his garden or watching a good football game with friends. He has learned well how to deal with occupational stress over the years.

How to Start a Book

Starting your own book can be a great experience, but many don’t know where to begin. The first thing is to simply come up with an idea. Before you begin writing your book, you will need to have an idea. This is the seed from where your book grows. Ideas will come when you open yourself to more experiences, so the best way to get an idea for a book is to go out and do things. Starting concepts can take many forms. You can have an idea for the general plot; you can have an image of an environment, an outline for a main character, or even smaller, less developed ideas. It does not matter how rough it is, any idea can turn into a magnificent book. Writing about yourself and your early life’s experiences can be very rewarding. It can be passed on to your children and grandchildren and give them new insight into the environment you were raised in. I carried a laptop computer with me and when I recalled a child hood story or event, I would enter it into the computer. With the advent of tablets, this task can be even easier.

Gene Rinderknecht

Books are amazing in the sense that they can capture the feel and ambiance of an entire generation, sometimes giving people a better understanding of the world than if they had been in it themselves. Capturing your past is a great place to start when creating a book. Every life is a story, an adventure that takes place across a time period, intertwining with the stories of others until it becomes one seamless strand of time. Recording your own life will not only give you a sense of direction when making a book, but also help you get better acquainted with yourself.

Gene Rinderknecht – Being Patient

Patience is a virtue, something that many people have heard but few understand and even fewer adhere to. The reason people advocate patience so much is because there are many times in our lives where we come across issues that we don’t fully understand or we cannot entirely control. Say that you are waiting at a bus stop to go to a job interview and the bus is late. Even though you were on time and fully dressed, preparing for your interview, the bus is a factor that is out of your control, causing you to be late for the interview and leaving a bad impression.

The reason that patience is important in this particular scenario is because it will affect your mood, and whether or not you present yourself well in the interview. Life is full of things we cannot control, it is how we react to these things that define us, making us who we are as people. For instance, you can take the bus being late with a grain of salt, understand that sometimes complications occur, and use the extra time to prepare more for your interview. This is an example of being patient.

The other option is to yell at the bus driver for making you look bad, blaming outside factors and stewing in your own bad luck. By the time you get to your interview your presentation is poor because you cannot hide the irritation from before. Patience would have prevented all of this. With inner strength and a bit of patience you can overcome any obstacle that you come across in life, even if it seems impossible.
